Otolaryngology is a medical-surgical specialty where knowledge of the ear, nose, pharynx, larynx, pathology of the neck and salivary glands is joined. The connection between these areas and ease of getting ill together, results  in all being studied by the same specialty. In Spain, the specialty is known as ENT and cervicofacial pathology, and includes a large number of pathological conditions:
